The Summer Titus Trot day 2 will enjoy the shorter distances : first time ‘5k’ers, or those building up to 10K or 10 miles what ever your distance . It has a great atmosphere, brilliant support from fellow runners and it has Cake! runners always like CAKE!
All runners will enjoy the beauty of Saltaire (a World Heritage site) and everyone except the 5k runners will get to see Five Rise Locks, “the most spectacular feature of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal”, close up – lucky you!
The route is along the fantastic Leeds Liverpool canal with some beautiful views. The tow path has been resurfaced and is predominantly flat (a few locks) and good underfoot (but some bits of mud).
